Autumn Swish
Swish is a set of four nomadic creations that seek to bring urban environments to life. Each of the four adaptations takes on the qualities of a different season.
Autumn Swish is a commission for Les Amis de la Montagne, a non-profit company responsible for creating cultural, recreational and educational experiences in Mount Royal Park in Montreal. It was a site-specific piece, created for performed in the large ballroom of the Chalet Mont-Royal. Inspired by the rich colours and crisp winds of fall, the piece was intended to be performed on the day projected to have the most colour on the trees of Mount Royal mountain. Autumn Swish is both a jubilant celebration of the beauty of the season and a marking of the last warm days. It was created in collaboration with students and graduates from l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal.
